Dreams Do Come True…ACE JR!!!

January ACE!

What could be better than kicking off the New Year with a January ACE?! (NOTHING…obviously)

Our volunteers arrived Friday night to prep for ACE Camp and go over the schedule of exciting events planned for the weekend! After some amazing dinner and ‘mingling’about, everyone’s head hit their pillow to rest up for buddy arrival!!

There’s nothing like waking up to a day at Camp!! Our buddies arrived Saturday morning to some serious Camp spirit and an amazing colorful walkway chalked up by our very own John Nguyen! Pretty soon it came time for some lunch and the loading of buses to take us to our fieldtrip destination…Adventure City! While it was a small theme park, it didn’t keep any of us from having some big time fun!! From roller coasters to petting zoos, our buddies kept busy checking out the various rides, treats, and photo ops all afternoon long…And before we knew it was time to head back to Camp!

You know it wouldn’t be Camp without a great movie and popcorn…especially any and every High School Musical movie! All enjoyed some High School Musical before washing up and enjoying some Camp Chef dinner and another phenomenal Camp dance! The next morning’s breakfast, talent show, and goodbyes all came too soon! As usual, our talent show acts were award worthy and amusingly memorable!

Our ‘Camp fix’ for January was a great success!! We are counting down the days til July 1st when we get to see everyone’s smiling faces once again!!

USA…USA…USA!!!

As if celebrating our favorite country during Camp with 4^th of July wasn’t enough…this year we are celebrating America all week long! Camp USA is only months away!

With the Summer Olympics upon us and the 4^th of July smack dab in the middle of Camp, it’s the perfect opportunity to show everyone how truly patriotic we can be! It’s no secret that our buddies are some of the proudest Americans out there, so let’s collect our best patriotic attire in the coming months and get ready to show off our ‘true colors’ of red, white, and blue this July!

Can’t wait to cheer on our country and buddies at Camp USA!! See you there!!

Knight Under the Stars

The snowflakes were hung by the ceiling with care, in hopes that Knight Under the Stars soon would be here! The buddies were all dressed in their holiday best, while visions of best friends danced in their heads!

The 3^rd annual Knight Under the Stars was a cheerful and abundant success this year full of enticing auction items, a delicious dessert bar, prizes, music, dancing, snow, and a favorite new addition…an exceptionally entertaining photo booth! The décor was nothing short of a classy winter wonderland! Fun was had by all as our buddies, their families, and the entire Camp family came together to celebrate one another, the Knights of Columbus,  and the amazingness that is Camp!  (Be sure to check out the new ‘I <3 Camp’ gear that made its first appearance at the event as well!)

Oh, and did we mention, we raised an astounding $10,000 for camp!! AWESOME! With our buddies, anything is possible… It’s no surprise that this event gets bigger and better every year! We are so grateful for everyone that was able to attend, volunteer, donate, support and prepare for the memorable and highly anticipated event that is Knight Under the Stars! We can’t wait til next year!
